Protan

Who is Protan?

Protan is the twelve-year-old twin brother of Neutrina and the son of brilliant scientist Dr. Barrillo. He’s brilliant, caring and incredibly brave. Although he is a twin, he is very much a loner. He has always known there is something different about him and his sister, but instead of fearing it, he accepts it and chooses to see it as what enables him to make a difference.

Protan in The Space Between

After Dr. Barrillo disappears while working on a military super-soldier project, Protan and Neutrina grow up through family instability and orphanages. Their longtime nanny, Karen Rice, eventually becomes their guardian, while General Patchett quietly keeps the twins under surveillance.

A confrontation with Twista pushes them beyond anything they have experienced and reveals that their abilities are far greater than they imagined. It also reveals the silent protector who has stayed close to them all along: their father, transformed by his own failed experiment.
